Ms. Zhang is an experienced educator who is passionate about cultivating the new generation. She graduated from Renmin University of China, majoring in information and archives, and has taught both in China and the United States for more than 15 years. She is also good at business and management and has founded a trading company, a Chinese School and an international culture and education association in the past 25 years. Till today the Chinese school has more than 1,000 students. 

iStar is the third cultural and educational institution she founded. She firmly believes that with the rich educational experience she has, with the joint efforts of colleagues and parents, iStar will definitely create a good learning environment for the students and help them to a successful future. In her spare time, she enjoys reading and traveling.

Wendy loves Chinese as a language and is passionate about teaching Chinese. She has been teaching Chinese for nearly 20 years from east coast to west coast. She believes the best teaching method is the one that fits the individual and environment, that being said: teaching should evolve dynamically with time and technology. Based on this philosophy, she joined iStar Learning as co-founder and wants to ride on the wave of a new technology era with everybody.

Wendy graduated from Wuhan university, China, majoring in Journalism. Later She immigrated to the US and got a Bachelor of Science degree at Iowa state university. She likes adventures and enjoys traveling around the world to experience different cultures and civilizations.

Ms. Norman is a professional English coach who comes from a family of teachers. She takes joy in teaching and always gives her students a positive, creative, and rewarding learning experience. She has 18 years’ experience, including Teaching English as a Second Language (ESL) and English as a Foreign Language (EFL) at the college level, and with children K-12. While teaching Spanish at a K-8 school, she also created the curriculum for all 9 grade levels and implemented the lessons.

Ms. Norman earned her Master's degree in Education and has a California Adult Teaching certificate for English and English as a Second Language.

Dr. Rose (Na) Yang has taught academic English courses to students from 28 countries and has over 10 years of English as second Language teaching experiences. She has served as the language trainer for the American College Board and large events such as the Asian Olympic Games and the Sweden Snow Festival. Her research projects on cognitive science and second language reading have been presented at multiple international conferences such as AAAL, AERA, and SLRF. She was also invited to write a book chapter for the International Encyclopedia of Education (4th. Edition) in 2021. Dr. Yang also has served as an interpreter for the American consulate in Shenyang, China.

She earned her doctorate in Second Language Acquisition from the University of Cincinnati in Cincinnati, OH and holds a post-secondary literacy instruction license from the University of Cincinnati.

Dr. Chinni is a skilled science educator specializing in chemistry. She has over 17 years of teaching experience at the college level and taught a variety of chemistry and physics courses along with some math courses. She feels that lecturing/teaching and lab work/research, especially in science - related disciplines, should complement each other. Students are usually more receptive when they can visually see the real-world applications of what they are learning in class/lab. She has always been very student-oriented and truly enjoys teaching and doing research/data analysis with her students.
She earned her doctorate in Analytical Chemistry from the University of South Carolina in Columbia, SC, and her Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry with a minor in mathematics from King’s College in Wilkes-Barre, PA.

Mrs. Yang has years of coaching and teaching high school students in Chemistry, and subsequently gained extensive knowledge and amazing teaching skills in various public-school classrooms. She knows how to engage students in difficult academic subjects and make science fun.

Mrs. Yang graduated from East China Normal University - got her Bachelor & Master’s in Chemistry, she also got Master of Computer Science at Villanova University 

Ms Shangbin Li is a Mandarin teacher with a Mandarin Certificate and a certificate entitled Teachers of Chinese to Speakers of Other Languages --TCOSL. She has been teaching Chinese to students from different cultural backgrounds in the U.S., Europe, and Asia since 2016. She considers herself a learning partner and enjoys opening up a rich world of Chinese language and culture to her students through teaching them to speak Mandarin. She values the learning progress as much as the achievements.

Ms Shangbin Li graduated from Hebei Normal University in China with a Chinese teacher's license. Now she is pursuing her M.Ed in the U.S.

Mrs. Zou was a college teacher in China. She focused on studying optimization methods which is a quantitative decision science based on modern mathematics and computer science in her Master’s program.  She worked as an engineer for some years.

In recent years, she spends much of her time on teaching and tutoring students in math school work (algebra 1 & 2, geometry, trigonometry, pre-calculus, AP calculus) and SAT Math. 

Mrs. Zou guides students to excel and to consistently progress in their ability to solve problems, and helps students reach their best possible score. Many of her students achieved perfect scores.

Mrs. Miao is currently a High school math teacher and a passionate educator. She enjoys making a difference in the lives of students by working with students to achieve their academic goals. Afterall, Math is the language of the Universe. 

She got her Master’s degree in Applied Mathematics at Beijing University, China, master degree of computer science at San Jose University. She also has her teaching certificate from department of CA

Mr. Strobel is a well diversified science teacher with over 25 years of experience teaching in all science disciplines. He has great rhapsody with his students with a philosophy of, “we can have fun and still learn too.” With a love of the great outdoors, he enjoys hiking, biking and anything in and around water especially wake surfing and fishing.

Mr. Strobel earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from St. John’s University, Collegeville MN and another Bachelor of Science degree in General Sciences from St. Cloud State University, St. Cloud, MN. Along with both Bachelor’s degrees he also has a Master’s of Arts degree in Education from St. Mary’s University of Minnesota, Winona, MN.

Ms. Johnson loves all things science! Her favorite part of teaching science is showing students that science is always around us so there is always a learning opportunity. She strives to make her teaching engaging and interactive. She has several years experience teaching biology at the middle school, high school, and college level. 

Ms. Johnson has a Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science and a Master's degree in Biology and Secondary Education both from Florida State University. 

Mrs Xu is an experienced Yoga trainer for over 20 years. In order to pursue the true Yoga methods and spirit, she went to India in 1999 for training and study. Her teaching is infused with the traditions of Chinese Medicine, earth wisdom and the balance of Yin and Yang. She focuses on strength and self-confidence to explore the body and mind from the inside out, therefore reaching the goal of internal peace.

Mrs Xu graduated from Beijing Sport University in 1988. She won 1989 year International Sports Committee Cup Aerobics championship title
